Since you are here on my about page. So as not to disappoint you, here's just a little bit about me. I'm 5 foot 6 (and a half) inches tall, I'm British and live in the UK and I'm a Northerner (and proud of it) but now I live in the South (because of the job).
I have a good sense of humour (well, I like to think so) and try not to take life too seriously in any way shape or form. It's more fun that way. My interests are varied. I enjoy going out, either to the pub with friends or for some good food. Age is now making me favour a quiet pub, a seat and a chat with friends rather than a noisy pub and a party (sorry, but that happens to everyone over a certain the age). A good Indian curry always goes down (and comes out) well, as does any Thai food but anywhere where you can get good food, good wine and plenty of time to relax and talk while you're wining and dining is a winner in my book.
I play the guitar and keyboard, and I also sing a little but not that well so it's normally on my own in a sound proofed room. I toy around with literary writing too because it's fun to make stuff up and write it down (well, it is to me). I swim when I can, I don't smoke but as vices go, the occasional glass of beer, wine, whisky and whiskey (both types) have been known to slide down my throat.
Who is Mike and why he mentioned on my site?
Well, we're actually related in that he is now my brother-in-law but we are also old university mates. We both went to Nottingham University, lived in Cripps Hall and ran the Cripps Hall Bar together. We used to share a web site but now we each have our own and pay homage to our old web site by linking to each other's sites. For more about this, see here.
